Unlike many websites, treadNext does not:
- Track your browsing activity across other websites

- Use invasive tracking technologies or fingerprinting
- Create advertising profiles based on your behavior
Information We May Process
To provide our Service, we may temporarily process the following information:
Location Data (Optional)
We use location in two limited ways:
- Precise browser GPS (optional): used only in your browser to show nearby tire shops — never stored on our servers
- Approximate IP location: used to personalize nearby content and to show anonymous visitor regions (including briefly-active “live” visitors) on our internal operations map
- IP addresses are stored only as a one-way hash — we do not keep raw IPs for the visitor map
- Visitor map data is retained for about 30 days and is not sold or used for advertising
You can use treadNext without enabling precise GPS location. Browser location access is optional and can be revoked at any time through your browser settings.
Account Information (If You Create an Account)
If you choose to create an account, we collect only the minimum information necessary:
- Email address (for account access and important notifications)
- Name (optional, for personalization)
- Password (stored securely using industry-standard encryption)
We do not require you to create an account to use treadNext. Account creation is optional and only provides additional features like saving preferences.
How We Use Information
Any information we process is used solely to:
- Provide the tire and shop discovery service
- Show you relevant search results
- Improve the functionality of our Service
- Respond to your support requests
Data Storage & Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data we process. Your preferences are stored locally in your browser using standard web storage APIs, not on our servers.
